Headache

Ankle pain is often due to an ankle sprain but can also be caused by ankle instability, arthritis, gout, fracture, nerve compression, infection and poor structural alignment of the foot.



Sports Injuries

Sports injuries are injuries that occur during sport, athletic activities, or exercising. There are two kinds of sports injuries: acute and chronic. The most common sports injuries are strains and sprains. Treatment should be such that the person continues his sports activity.



Cancer Pain

Pain is the most distrusing complication a cancer patient encounters in life. Because of the chronic and progressive nature of the disease, cancer pain is a common cause of chronic pain. We help to improve the quality of life by relieving pain which is a big solace for the patients. According to our avilablity we do home visits and do palliative care for cancer patients without any cost.

Dr. Unni Krishnan is working as consultant pain physician at Sri Ramakrishna Mission Hospital and Geetanjali Hospital. He is also working as a consultant anesthesiologist at Samad Hospital, Farooq Hospital, DPMS Hospital and BAVA Hospital, Attingal.

Radio Frequency Ablator (RFA)

Radiofrequency ablation is one of the recent methods used for ablating nerves at joints like shoulder joints, knee joints, facet (spine), sport and many other joint. It is also used for neuralgic pain, head and neck examination, trigeminal neuralgia.

Platelet Rich Plasma Machine (PRP)

PRP has come in a huge way for a cheaper alternative for tissue growth. Most famous is the great tennis star Rafael Nadal who was given PRP for tennis elbow.

Equipment for Interventional (Ozone)

Ozone Therapy stimulates the uptake of oxygen by stimulating the DPG enzyme. The DPG enzyme supports the release of oxygen from the hemoglobin molecule so that it can be used by the cell. When cells get the optimal amount of oxygen and function properly, they help to prevent or inhibit disease.

Interferential Therapy (IFT / IFC)

Parallel bars are medical devices specifically used in physical and occupational rehabilitation therapy to assist individuals to re-learn to walk and for gait training, as well as to regain balance, strength, range of motion, and mobility.

About Sri Ramakrishna Ashram Charitable Hospital

Sri Ramakrishna Mission, a world wide religious organization was founded by Swami Vivekananda,chief disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa in the year 1897. In 1940 on the request of members of Narendra Mission, Swami Tapasyananda, a senior monk from Belur Math came to Trivandrum to head the Ashrama and the Charitable Hospital. Under his guidance the spiritual discipline in the Ashrama grew and the Charitable Hospital began to expand. Today due to the efforts of successive heads of this organization the Hospital at Sasthamangalam has come a long way from what it once was. .
